About Me

Attorney at law

Over 20 years ago I opened my own law firm with the desire to help the people in Madison, Morgan, Limestone and Lawrence county. I started practicing bankruptcy law to meet the needs of my community during a terrible economic situation, and I've continued to help individuals and families ever since. My approach with clients is to always be honest and forthright with them. I can explain their situation, no matter how complicated it may be, in a language they can understand without bludgeoning them with legal jargon. I keep things simple, so you can find a way forward.

More about me

Helping you climb out of debt

Mainstream media often tells us that "millions of Americans are drowning in debt." You may have heard this during a commercial interruption on TV or a radio spot you hear on your way to work. The problem with these ads is that they are geared toward individuals who are in desperate need of financial assistance. Their solution is often a credit plan to help you pay back debt and not the actual information you need to get back on your feet.

As a bankruptcy attorney, I know why a credit plan for debt repayment often does more harm than good, and I can help you avoid debt schemes and guide you on the path you really need to take.

Bankruptcy is a difficult decision to make, and one you certainly shouldn't make hastily. In order to fully understand what your options for bankruptcy are, and which one is right for your situation, consult with an attorney who has experience with both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.

The difference between these chapters is not always as cut and dry as people may tell you. You may have read that chapter 7 is for liquidation, while chapter 13 is for reorganizing debt — but nothing about bankruptcy is that simple. That's why I want to help you understand your situation and help you through the process so you can get the financial clean slate you deserve.
